On March 25, 2022, the German Bundestag approved the law amending the Energy Industry Act to introduce filling level specifications for gas storage facilities. As far as we know, the law should come into force at the beginning of May.
Based on the current draft law and against the background that the first SSBO tenders are already planned for May 2022, THE has developed the product design for the SSBO level 1 together with the authorities. The current cornerstones for this are available in the following set of slides. Please note that this is a current discussion status, which could still be subject to changes in the further process.
