Publication of the gas storage neutrality account
On April 30, 2022, the law introducing filling level specifications for gas storage systems came into force by inserting part 3a into the Energy Industry Act (EnWG) amendment. To ensure security of supply, a combination of filling level specifications and market-based measures such as the tendering of strategic options was introduced.
The costs and revenues regarding the implementing of the measures are published here.
The monthly balances of the neutraliy account are initially published on a provisional basis (status: preliminary). Please note that the preliminary release dates are subject to change.
The balance of the neutrality account is determined from all the aforementioned revenues and expenses recorded.
Please note that when publishing the final gas storage levy account balance, invoices originating from earlier performance periods but processed at a later date may require subsequent adjustments to the published account balance.
